When an aimless young man named T’Balt Ferrier dies in the first hours of the apocalypse, he discovers he’s a “Redeemer,” cursed to relive the world’s end over and over every time he dies. But when he wakes he realizes he can change his story and the stories of those around him. The power feels like a boon until he runs into another Redeemer, who resets whenever he does. But the man, Monan Ryker, shackled by boredom, vows to repeatedly kill T’balt until T’Balt can kill him first.

Now, each reset drags T’balt deeper into a brutal system of divine “loot,” false prophets, and shattered loyalties as he learns to wield this godlike power — and watches everyone he loves be killed by Monan. Every time he tries to win, he realizes Monan has lived this life before. T’Balt is forced to play god with peoples lives in order to free himself of this menace and save those close to him.
